Ballingray approved, slightly late entry that had been secreted away while being worked upon. His choppy brown hair is kept unstyled and on the shorter end, but is surprisingly clean and matches the scruffines of his face. His eyes are green and serious with tell tale signs of bags under them and possibly a bit bloodshot depending when you meet him. His skin has some tint to it that he comes by naturally but is already starting to show creases and wrinkles, and his hands are calloused as one used to using them. His fashion tends towards plain and practical with non descript layers of leathers in browns and greys, studded with darkened metal. It has a used look to it and has a few additions of pouches and pockets placed haphazardly about it, including a thick leather belt around his waist.

He moves with an unexpected confidence given his appearance, and his voice is firm with conviction and perhaps a bit of bitterness, sorrow or menace. Personality Zacharias means well despite his gruff and often pessimist nature, and he would go out of his way to help a little old lady across the street and want or expect nothing in return. He has his dark moments though where what he has lost haunts him and he willing drugs himself into oblivion in an attempt to cloud or hide from life.
He has loved two women in his life and he tells himself he would do anything for them but he has failed to do so and hates himself for it. Background His early life is rife with tragedy starting with the early death of his mother due to childbirth complications and the downward spiral his father took afterwards, his older sister Marissa at the age of seven largely cared for him in those early years and many years after as his father was incapable of doing much of anything.
Marissa coming into her thirteenth year found some work at dive of an inn that while catering to a rougher crowd had an old woman for an innkeeper that despite her gruff exterior was kind hearted and sympathized with their situation.
So in exchange for meals, a couple coppers a week and small makeshift room, Marissa washed pots, carried wood, mucked stables and whatever else was needed. At least he had his sister. It would be five more years before fate decided to rear its ugly head once more, in the form of the death of his sister, the one good thing in his life up to that point.
Apparently this was a blemish on his honor, as if that street rat could truly have honor, and he came back looking for some pay back with his older brothers including his eldest brother who was a real messed up piece of work named Fraze. They cornered Zacharias in the stables and were in the process of beating him silly with fists, feet and anything they can find when Marissa came to bring Zacharias some bread, she screamed and grabbed the broom and started smacking the boys about.
Before he could even tell her to run Fraze took the broom from her and cracked her so hard she collapsed into the nearby stall. Her scream caught the attention of Harmon the cook, who with Drake the bartender came send the lot of the boys scrambling into the night but a quick check of Marissa found her unresponsive and already turning pale.
She never woke up and her shallow breathing stopped a few moments later, and Zacharias was a bleeding mess sobbing over her dead body. Perhaps he was more like his father than he had thought for with her death he started his own downward spiral of spirits and drugs, he stayed at the inn doing much of the same work his sister had been doing, mainly because he had no where else to go but he was a shell of the boy he used to be. He found some work here and there doing menial work and things that nobody else was interested in doing, and if not for a lucky break when he was offered some coins to help haul away the stones from a fallen down wall on church property there is a good chance he too would have found an early grave.
When the wall project was coming to an end she convinced her uncle to keep him on to help care for the property as he was getting on in age, and with her help he started to face his demons, and slowed down his consumption of spirits and almost stopped the taking of drugs altogether.
He would help those of the congregation that needed help, helping to find children lost to the streets, items that had been stolen or other such difficulties they might be having and he found a use for those spent years of his youth. No matter how good things are though, the bad things in life will find you, and this became readily apparent when he was searching for the missing daughter of one of the faithful for when he found her it was not in a state that would bring anybody much comfort sadly.
She had been stabbed repeatedly and left for dead in a back stable, which brought to the surface the death of his own sister with the smell of blood and straw, he returned the body to them but went out that night and fell into old habits that he thought he had left behind. That was near on a decade ago now, and while he is back on an upward swing these past two years with his drinking down to moderate and his drug use almost non-existent, he knows that deep down that Tielle has likely forgotten him.
Roleplaying Sample Zacharias woke feeling not to far off of being one of the walking dead, with his mouth being decidedly lacking in any form of moisture and instead felt as thick and pasty as the glue of binder of books.
While he had slept for a time it was neither peaceful nor refreshing, but had been enough that his eyes opened of their own accord and he might have the energy to make it through the day which was a good thing because there was a job to be done.
There was a welcome smell on the morning air though and it seems the Baroness, his nickname for her, was in fine form this morning, so with less grumbling on his part than usual he worked his way upright and finally onto his feet as he moved towards the fire and eagerly found a kebab that was practically calling his name. Arcanums W. The chance for this to occur is extremely rare, though is normally seen as a good outcome to the summoner. The arcanum will know everything the summoner knows to allow easy access for spells and knowledge to assist its summoner. The arcanums home realm is known as the "black sea" a realm devoid of life though bursting with raw primal magic. The realm looks like a marsh with decaying matter everywhere and very little light. Bones and skulls can be seen for miles and magic in this realm seem to always fail, despite the available magic. The magical energies are so wild and dense that they often get shuttered into the surrounding matter and bones.
