Learning about my trip, a friend of mine brought me a movie called The Celestine Prophecy. My guess is that you probably know it to be true, as well, from your own personal experiences. I hope its insights will remind all of us to make a deeper inquiry into our own life, so we can connect with the source of our power, find our path, and fulfill our destiny. And I hope those insights will guide and enlighten me on my journey to Machu Picchu in the coming week… 1. Pay attention to chance coincidences.

Until a year ago, I had never imagined that I would go back to school to study Chinese Medicine.
It all happened because of a sequence of seemingly chance coincidences. Because of the good results my boyfriend got from his acupuncturist, Jason Moskovitz, I decided to interview him for Cycle Harmony. And because of that interview, an insight came to me that I needed to study Chinese Medicine in order to better serve our community. This sequence of chance events led me to a different path than I had planned for myself, but a path truer to my passion, values and purpose.
Pay attention, because it may lead you to discover your own path and truths. There is a meaning and purpose in life. We have to discover them from within — by tuning into our heart and finding our truths. There is a subtle energy that infuses all things. By paying attention and getting acquainted with the subtle energy around us, we can consciously choose thoughts, words, actions and situations that give us energy, and avoid those things that drain energy from us.
An unconscious competition for energy underlies all conflicts. We all want to get more energy because it makes us feel good, and feel whole. It may make us feel good temporarily, but it actually damages both parties in the conflict — a lose-lose situation. The key to overcoming conflict is to get our energy directly from the source. Instead of trying to take energy from others, we should learn to discover our true energy source — which is abundant, infinite and available to us at all times.
For some people, the method of connecting with their energy source is gardening. For some, it is singing and dancing. And for others, it may be yoga, meditation, Qi Gong or Tai Chi. Heal our childhood traumas. Generally these manifest themselves as four types of control dramas: Intimidators stealing energy from others by threat. Interrogators stealing it by judging and questioning. Aloof people attracting attention and energy to themselves by playing coy.
Victims making people feel guilty and responsible for them. Follow our inner guidance. Find your tribe. Together, we can weave a strong energetic web that supports our collective evolution and transformation.
Create heaven on earth. There will be no wars, no greed or hunger, and no conflicts. And the world will live as one, as John Lennon once sang. It may seem that we have a long way to go. But we can all start with that small corner of the universe — which is our own life….
The Nine Insights from The Celestine Prophecy
Putting all of the spiritual lessons we have learned to work and keeping our vibration high will take practice, but the more confident and solid we are in our knowing of our paths, the stronger we will be. Throuth this allegory, of sorts, Redfield has described how it can work, even with the dark trying to close in. Light and love is always the answer. Real healing takes place when we can envision a new kind of future for ourselves that excites us. Inspiration is what keeps us well.
The Tenth Insight: Holding the Vision
Summary[ edit ] The book discusses various psychological and spiritual ideas that are rooted in many ancient Eastern traditions, such as how opening to new possibilities can help an individual establish a connection with the Divine. The main character undertakes a journey to find and understand a series of nine spiritual insights in an ancient manuscript in Peru. The book is a first-person narrative of spiritual awakening. The narrator is in a transitional period of his life and begins to notice instances of synchronicity , which is the belief that coincidences have a meaning personal to those who experience them. After this encounter leaves him curious, he decides to go to Peru. On the airplane, he meets a historian who also happens to be interested in the manuscript. The historian explains how the world is currently undergoing an enormous shift in consciousness, elaborating on how things had been generally understood until now to be: 1 In the beginning, people believed the world to be governed by the forces of divinity; everything could be explained as an act of a god or gods, 2 With increasing knowledge of the world, brought about by scientific inquiry, people turned to the men and women of science for an explanation of life and their world, and 3 Since the problem of how to find meaning in the world could not be solved by science, people chose to instead focus on efforts to improve their lives materially, subduing and plundering the earth for its natural resources, with a hyper-emphasis on controlling economic conditions and market fluctuations.
