They are just regular everyday people with something dark going on within, and can even be your coworkers or neighbors.

If anything holds this series back it’s that the documentary spends too much time on psychological analysis and rushes through the actual investigations.

A terrific movie driven by some exceptional performances, it dealt with a female journalist from Tehran who arrives in the holy City of Mashad, in Iran.

She’s there to investigate a slew of murders, all of which feature female victims who were sex workers who plied their trade on the streets of the city. Taking her into the dark and seedy underbelly of the city, the film quickly unravels and moves in a disturbing direction. All the killings seem to follow a pattern, and it’s soon evident that the killer may believe he is doing God’s work by cleansing the world of sinners.

Memories of Murder (2003)

Looking for a movie to watch? Memories of Murder could be a good option. With a runtime of 2 hours and 12 min and released in 2003, it stars Song Kang-ho, Kim Sang-kyung, and Roe-ha Kim and was directed by Bong Joon Ho.

Seo Tae-yoon, a detective from Seoul, visits the outskirts of a small town and discovers a case of two women raped and murdered. He joins local detective Park Doo-man to find out the serial killer.
