It is a story of a German sausage maker versus the righteous Christian community in a little small American town.
Unfortunately, Gutterbee does not accentuate Starr’s acting abilities. His character is clown-like, with not a lot of material or intriguing dialogue.

American Gothic had an all-star cast that included Dune’s Virginia Madsen and Shameless’s Justin Chatwin, but it only lasted for one season. The absurd soap opera-style family murder mystery did not hold or maintain the television audience’s appeal.
